I've driven the string road several times in my scooby, great road very twisty with magnifcent views. However its very badly surfaced in places and you would not want to lose it as there are some precipitious drops.

It's very rare for a car to burst into flames, but unfortunately it does happen. I've only seen it once, been a Firefighter for three years. Most probably won't see it in their whole career.

Nipped onto East Fortune airfield in the pouring rain with my S2000 today - they are nowhere near as bad and as snappy as they are made out to be. The rear end has a lot of grip, even in the wet, and it warns you that its about to bite. I suspect there are one too many shuey wannabees that have binned s2000s in the wet to earn them their reputation. Still, its is rwd so I'd encourage safety first for those on the meet.
R.I.P. to the subaru guy - always a shame when I life is lost in such circumstances

Saxo Boy.
wasn't having a go at the 2000 mate, just know they can be a bit tail happy in the wet and i know the type of roads in arran, i still consider them as a class motor.

I know
I was just commenting that yesterday was my first chance to give it major provocation in a safe environment and it certainly didn't do anything too alarming. I've still got a lot to learn about the car but at the moment I'm thinking poor driving has built its reputation more than anything
