....between a UK MY03 STI and a JDM MY03 STI? Are there any obvious telltales to distinguish them apart. I quite fancy the twin scroll turbo thingy. I know STI's can come with or without DCCD so thats not a good indicator.

 

I think it's all down to the rear wash wipe, from a distance anyway. (same as the classic)

I never knew that the UK STI doesn't have a rear wiper.

So the rule of thumb is......rear wiper = twin scroll turbo!!! I think I can remember that.

 

Rear wiper, square plate mountings, aftermarket rear foglight, sexy dash guages, no burble (equal length headers and twin scroll steals the characterful sound), untango'd front headlights (although many UK's are now detango'd), electric folding door mirrors.

Might be more, and I might be wrong on some but you get the picture.

All uk cars have S U B A R U across the boot, JDM's don't. Err, i think.

Rear wipe and detangoed lights are the biggest givaway though, plus most JDM STi's have a rear fog thats been attached for the ESVA.
