No,
Happily de tango'd the headlights (removing the horrid amber bit) on my MY02 and painted part of the reflectors black as well.

Will be doing the same to my MY05 very soon as well

Did me a special deal of only £25 cos I was getting some other odds and sods done.
Was told it was a 2 hour job (30 minutes gas mark 4 in an oven ) and would originally be £140

I did mine on my MY03 STi and had some condensation issues afterwards with a poor seal, so they had to come back off, twice for re-sealing.

Did mine and my mates a year ago. Mine misted up a couple of months back, but on inspection I found that the bulb access cap on the back had fallen off and allowed 457 litres of water into the unit. Opened it back up, emptied out the water and re-sealed and it's been fine ever since. Probably gonna be re-opening my mates soon as he wants to colour code the reflector trim
