anyone going to the drag racing at Sandtoft watch out,last car meeting myself and a couple of lads from our town got caught on the Belton to Sandtoft road,dont know where the trap was,i was looking out for one????.recieved a letter yesterday £40 fine and 3 points 38mph in a 30 zone.

Just remember if you do challenge it and the Magistrate finds against you, the maximum penalty is 6 points & £1000 fine.

Sorry to change conversation, but I noticed that you posted on the Yorkshire meet thread, are you interested?. Pop a reply on the thread if you are.

I will be going to Sandoft on wednesday for the 1st time maybe we could meet up?. I will hopefully be meeting up with SimonM who has been before.

sorry can't make Sandtoft next meet,I run the lincs RSoc,its our monthly meet next wed,but i will be at the next meet 3rd wed of month,perhaps we can meet up then?

 

There are a few good tips to avoid getting caught by the speedtrap at Sandtoft:

1) Don't break the 30mph limit
2) Take notice of the 10 or so signs posted thru' the village
3) Heed the warnings of the announcer at the drag event, as he does warn everybody of the traps at each event.

P.S. Speeding through the village will only end up with the drag event being banned, the local papers have already printed a front page article about bikers speeding!

 

thats just the point.i did stick to 30 through the village,well at least thats what my speedo was reading.yes i did see the signs.
before going tomorrow,check it is still on the council stopped the bike meet on friday
