What's the low down on these chips advertised on Ebay?

Claims of 15 to 20HP by adding this chip.

Would be interested to here wot you guys think.

Bad idea M8 - Its just a signal frig and could be a recipe for the engine destroying itself!

As mentioned many times befroe , in one word SH!TE.
They tell your Ecu your getting nice cold air (colder/denser than it actually is)
The Ecu is therefor supplying fuel/ignition timing Etc for a false setting !!!!

There are no cheap gains to be had when it comes to engine management. Some of the **** on Ebay should be reported. Makes me laugh when you read some of the descriptions....
