Default WoW Optimax 10p a litre more expensive

Just been to fill up at our local shell garage, i nearly died they wanted 10p a litre more than normal unleaded for there optimax. Now i don't mind paying a premium for some decent fuel, but i think that amount is taking the p*ss.

Anyway i am now going to email shell and tell them what a robbing git they are.

Rant off

Stopped using Optimax last month, it's jus to expensive now. Tried Shell SUL at 83p a litre and it seems fine. Optimax was 89p at the time!

Shell have had my business for the last 2 years, but it's not worth the extra cost IMO.

Shell do a 100 ron fuel in Germany called V-Power.

Anyone know if Shell are going to release here in the UK??

I used the V-Power but not in a Impreza. So cannot comment.

Some Shell garages, although under the same name are owned by independants who charge what they like. Wrong IMHO becasue you pull up to a garage for fuel and they're charging loads more than your local!!

Aral also do a 100ron fuel here called Ultimate but I believe they are owned by BP as there is the BP logo on some of the signs. It is good as we now have 2 companies doing 100ron so the price is fairly competative.

Just paid 85.9 for Optimax (was so excited saving 4p a liter I over-filled it )

So I had to drive 20 miles further than my local shell...but it's where the gf lives so she was pleased to see me!

9p a litre more than the Shell normal uleaded in Harrogate seems they have not dropped the optimax at all only the normal stuff as optimax is still 88.9p a litre like it has been the last 5 weeks at least.
