Post Air Filter Test

http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/filters_test/2/

The guy at power engineering told me that my HKS filter was complete crap. Heres the proof I guess. Think I'll have to get myself one of those Apexi jobbies. Its a shame really as my last impreza had that one!
Just goes to show how some companies rely on their name to sell a naff product. My HKS folded up at the bottom so it was just sucking in non filtered air, the air flow meter was covered in crap. Its all been cleaned and put back together properly now but I wonder how long it will last.
Anyone got any conflicting opinions???

Cheers
Steve

There must be some informative opinions???
Any tuners care to share results? Or people who sell these kind of filters?

Well I always knew the Blitz stainless always had highly inferior filtration and dry foam filters aren't much better.

Quite impressed by the apexi - although "zero maintanence, lifetime use" on a dry filter?

I've used ITG in the past but at the last service changed it to the Sti type, which I have to say feels slightly lethargic compared to the ITG variant to which I'll swap back to next service.
