Arrow Impreza vor integrale??????

Guys just wondering what you think about my idea, thinking of chopping my sport in for an integrale??
Would like to hear your views, and opinions. I have the choice early next year of either that or an older impreza turbo. If anyone has owned the integrale i would like your insight, eg what to look out for. Cheers

I own an Integrale 16v (chipped), and a '96 WRX wagon (std). There's plenty of joy from both motors, but its a slightly different feeling. Difficult to describe. I guess a good test is which car I take out if I want a buzz, and it's definitely the Lancia.

For me, the grale just has something special about it, if you can live with the poor mpg and shakey interior the driving is like nothing else IMHO. The 53% rear torque split is better for me and the amount of torque available from 95 unleaded is quite amazing. Bigger turbo though so more lag, the Impreza pulls better out of slow corners but the Delta would have it on faster corners and straights.

Good luck on your choice.

chris
btw, I'm sadly selling my grale due to new baby boy.

I looked for an Integrale, but they are getting old now, so I went for an Impreza instead. It depends on how much you want to spend on the car - I'd say an old Impreza is a better bet than an old Integrale - running cost etc. Have you thought about a Impreza RA - they are quite 'hard core' if that's what you want; a real drivers car.

I owned a Scooby Turbo and keeped it for just under a year and changed it after 5 mins in an Evo integrale and I've owned a Grale ever since. Fantastic bit of kit there's not much between them in A to B performance but the Grale tells you soo much more, and handling is sublime. And look's stunning I've had guys in Ferraris stopping and staring at the Evo never never had that in the Scooby. And the other thing because the Integrale is no longer in production they won't depreciate like a Scooby, by a Scooby this year for 10 grand and it's loose a third of that in a year the Grale will still be worth what you paid for it! Both fantastic cars but I just I'm just a little biased. Tony

Had a Gralé EVO

Wouldnt have another ...got fed up of dodgy electrics, both Internal & external trim falling off, paint fade & a treck & half to get it serviced.

& going through Fiat for parts was like having teeth extracted

Getting part isn't a big problem there's Forum's just like this that steer you in the right direction, and as for reliability I've had my Grale for over two years and mechanical nothing major gone wrong with it other than general ware and tare. And there's that many specialist's out there Tanc Barret, Prestocar, Beta car, Evo Engineering and Auto integrale. They always give you advise, etc. and parts aren't bad either as FIAT dropped there parts prices for Lancia by a third about a year ago example 16 inch Evo wheel 89 quid and this is across the board. had 2 grale evos

very charismatic cars but:

eat front bushes
rust
stress fractures appear all over shell in key areas
more rust
evo 1 special editions with big seats better bet than evo 2's (- 2's have smaller turbo and catalysts and less tuneable, run out of puff after 5000rpm)

Ocean,

ditto m8, 2 sets of bushes in 10K ...rust around windscreen & sideskirt separated from the body due to the amount of flex!
