An independant garge is stripping my engine down to find a fault, is it worth having it rolling road testing afterwards?

when reving the car stationary, at the top of the rev, it makes a loud rattling noise. when driving the car, hold it between 3 and 4k revs it rattles really badly, like a roar. hard to explain.

Yep, on face value, I'm with heatshield. I'd wager it an early car as well?

If it's a faulty clank valve, you can get a new uprated one made out of unobtainium, super trick
