just fittted a baileys dump valve to my my93wrx today after ive been driving it the engine bay smells very hot the temp gauge shows normal temp though any help would be much appreciated cheers !

 

My My97 turbo always smells hot after a decent drive. Temp gauge always and in the middle though. Not had any bother yet tho

 

I had this in the early days of a crankshaft seal starting to leak.Look out for oil spots under centre of engine and the odd puff of smoke when idling at lights etc. It's not the end of the world but will get worse if you leave it!
