Default Twin scroll on WRX/old shape...

...does it fit with proper JDM pan, exhaust manifold/up-pipe, downpipe etc and how would perform?
Of course a remap is required but the JDM STI has also twin AVCS that helps a lot at low-mid revs and I am not sure if the above parts fit directly in WRXs without problems (touching the frame etc)!

Could you tell me his name?
I worry mainly if the exhaust manifold touches the frame, all the other parts should fit without problem!

Jim, if you fit everything as you say..sump, manifold, up-pipe downpipe etc you will have no problem.

We recently did same job on '98 wrx results were very good

Drop me an email if you have any questions.

just to add that the sump capacity will be reduced from what you currently have ! unless you are fitting the oil cooler as well.

Hello, I did it too on mine and my friends rex. We changed all parts needed. It is more then it seems. You need the Turbo, Manifold, Uppipe, Downpipe, Oil Pan, Sump Plate, Filter, Dipstick, as well as new Turbo fitting brackets, new oil feed line from the Turbo to the engine block as the oem doesn`t fit anymore, then you need to use the oil feed lines on the top of the turbo of your oem Turbo but need to cut them in 2 pieces in order to make them fit the rest. In order to fit the uppipe you need to cut it a little (the heat shield). After all it works but the Turbine comes on boost late but keeps boost till the end ; ) after ECU mapping it works great.

Cheers Chris
