I had real problems with the CEL light on my de-cat bugeye. I even bought a Scoobysport CEL fix which I think was £70. It reduced the CELS but not totally.

When I has the EcuTeK re-map Bob Rawle "mapped out" the CELs for me.

Apparantly the Bugeye ECU needs to "see" some fluctuations in the sensor, if not then it decides the CAT or sensor isn't working and sends out the the "below efficiency" P0420 CEL. Thats why the Scoobysport fix didn't work.

If you only have the up-pipe de-catted then the code will be for an EGT error (P0545 or P0546) not the (P0420) code which is for the centre section sensor which will only come on after a downpipe de-cat.
