DIY electronic det cans
Not Clicky Honest!
I know it's american, but I'm sure maplin would have some sort of equivelent.
Any opinions?

From: 32 cylinders and many cats
Laptop with mic input from knock sensor and headphones does the same. Plus you can then record it easily and analyse it.

Wouldn't a better set of headphones help? The ones like ear defenders that can isolate all the surrounding noises.

Is there much required to record the noise onto a laptop. Would be interested in giving it a try myself.

Just plug the knock sensor into the mic input and run Windows sound recorder.
