Total closure on a 99T plate turbo ?
Just bought one of the above and take delivery on Sunday. It has the standard Cat 1 alarm. Just curious to find out it will have total closure connected to the alarm or even just buy holding the key in the lock position ? If it doesnt, do u think it would be easy to get it rigged up ?
thanks in advance

If it's a UK car with the standard (for the time) Sigma-sourced alarm, no, it won't have one-button closure as standard.
You may be able to get it added, best way to find out how much it'd cost would be to consult a local Sigma-aware car security specialist.

I questioned this about 2 years ago. Basically you can have the option added to the MY99/00 Sigma M30, but it invalidates the Thatcham Cat 1 approval. The alarm has only been tested in the Impreza without full closure.
I had several e-mails from a man at Sigma before he eventually conceded that it would invalidate the Thatcham certification and possibly affect your insurance. Very vague, so I passed on the idea.

It's when you set the alarm with the remote, the doors lock and the windows wind up (if they are down) and the sunroof closes (if you have a really fancy one
)
I can't see how it can invaildate thatcham, as it's normally a seperate module from the alarm, and all the alarm does is send a timed switched +ve (or -ve) signal to it via a single wire.
