Default Is there such a thing as GOODWILL gestures with delayed WR1's?

I know many people have had to wait much longer that anticipated for their WR1's. Did any of you get a nice goodwill gesture from the dealer?

I'm not asking for dealer details just if people got anything and what it was?

Ta.

Feels that way!

I can't believe there aren't any WR1 owners out there that haven't done some pushing for freebies as a result of the wait???? Surely not!!

I would imagine yours will be anyday as mine was registered 1st June and I picked up yesterday 16thJune.
As far as goodwill for delay goes,I was told when I ordered to expect delivery June/July so I cant complain. Was everyone else tld the same?

Doubt it, they hadnt even put a full tank of fuel in mine when I picked it up on Tuesday

Have you phoned IM - I did, made a fuss and even though mine was the dealers third allocated car it was the first of their allocation delivered, figure that one out!

Regards

Robin

i am not having a go at wr1s' but why does it take so long to get the car made and modified as generally IM have pissed off a lot of subaru customers by delayed deliveries, having to be insured weeks before cars are sent etc
it does look like a real pr disaster but noone seems to have had an apology or sweeteners like a wr1 track day.if i was looking to buy a wr1 i would not having read the threads about the hassle of getting one!

I was promised 14 days from full payment date. The car arrived 28 days post that day. After lots of complaining, got a full tank of fuel and first 2 services free. Si it is worth pushing it. Now it has been run in and had 1000 mile service, well worth the wait.

Cool

Well everything has gone to plan really for me. Was in no rush for mine though.

Ordered mine 2nd day into the motorshow release. Was first to order 1 in Derbyshire but getting mine 2nd to someone who ordered his not long ago?? go figure its the luck of the draw i think.

Still, was told 11 working days after log book arrived and yes that was correct.

Pick mine up 2mrrw.

p1doc, you know why it has to be insured don'y you?

Ok and sweeteners like a WR1 track day......IM do not permit track days, and you ar emore than likely to duff your warranty if you do so (or at least get reported etc)

Why would you want rubber mats when they come with a set of carpet ones with the WR1 logo as standard?

I did ask before about why they had to be insured and I am still confused. Don't IM have insurance?

gridgeway,

It's all down to EU emmission regs. The prodrive performance pack has to be fitted after registration(so needs insurance etc for that) because the car would'nt pass EU regs for a new car, but since the regs are lower for a 'old car' (I.e one that has an owner) it can only be fitted then.

I could well be wrong on this, but I would think other items like the wheels, back box etc etc could be fitted to the car prior to registration, thus only leaving the PPP bits to be fitted afterwards. I.e get the bits done on the car you can and leave the rest to make the car legal.

a FQ340 would have been far easier to purchase.

yep, too true. My MR FQ 340 is a couple of weeks away and Mitsubishi did all the SVA and stuff on their own insurance!! Now who'da thought of that?

Mind you I have to say goodbye to the P1 tomorrow and that'll be very hard indeed. :-((
