Default "Random" product banner

Maybe this is SIAL, but at the moment the "Random" products are ALL scoobysport items. If I were another paying customer of the Scoobyshop system I wouldn't be that impressed.

Wasn't Simon always banging on about maintaining customer/client value when it came to the scoobyshop etc?

Still, look on the bright side, at least the Googleverts are still showing a bit more variety.

Hi Chaps

We are offering the "special offer of the day" for each day up until Thursday.

When you offer this, all products shown alternate between the special offer product and your other products.

All the best

Simon

Well scoobysport must be the luckiest people alive because they also appeared in EVERY [b[RANDOM[/b] PRODUCT banner for every page that I view.

Just to be clear, it's alternating between a Special offer of the day from scoobysport, and then random products, but ONLY from scoobysport. I have not yet seen a non-scoobysport random product banner today.

Well mine seems to have been stuck on the "Special Offer Of The Day" (from ScoobySport) for the vast bulk of the afternoon, so sounds like you're seeing more variation than some of us are Paul!

Pavlo

That's what I'm saying.

We are offering "special offer of the day".

When a company offers special offer of the day.. ALL products shown are their products, so it alternates between the special offer of the day, and a random selection of THAT company's products. It is the added benefit of offering the community an extra discount.

All the best

Simon

Folks,

This facility is available and has been used by a number of companies over the past 18 months. As Simon has explained once a special offer has been set-up, all rotations of products are based around the Company with the special offer until the special offer has expired, at which point it goes back to a random selection from Scoobyshop.

Regards,
Shaun.

right, it wasn't clear that even random products only feature those from the "special offer" company.

Takes a certain element of randomness out of it!

Maybe the title should be changed to "Pseudo-Random Product of the Day"?

Entirely depends on how many products the company offering the Special Offer has really. All in all it is part of the functionality given for subscribing to "Today's Special Offer", which has proven popular with advertisers.

Regards,
Shaun.
