Default Best Scooby/Other Car you have driven or been in??

Just a thought I was having and wondered what you consider to be the best Scooby, or any other car that you have ever driven or had the pleasure to be driven in?

Cheers

The next one I buy or after a shed load of money on mine as far as Scooby's go.
I hate to pose but the best car I've driven is a Ferrari if only for the engine wail and the best I've been driven in was a D-type Jaguar - no modern driving aids but one heck of a car !

Hum, very difficult

The best handling on a track, a track preped Elise (would probably be cack on the road)
Sharpest handling car on the road, a Mk3 MR2 (I know I know, but they do handle well and I have not driven an Elise or a caterham on the road)

Most devastating A to B car, my EVO V and then my 53 plate STi a close second.

Fastest, driven an F355 flat out on the hanger straight (too busy/scared to look at the speedo!)

Driven a 944 which was a nice all round car and a 1989 911 carrera which is a total beast, heavy, uncomfortable, difficult and oh so memorable, sounds even better than the scooby (just need to prise the keys from my dad again)

And finally

Worst, a mk 5 escort, handling is so bad that its actually fun trying to get it to turn in without massive understeer.

LOL I know exactly what you mean, I do it all the time in my mk3 1.6 Golf CL

Oh its fun doing it in hire cars too, cos they are usually pap too

Best car unsure really, as far as my own cars, probably my current scoob, as a passenger WrrJones's (from CCSPerformance heavily modded Bugeye) that beast is scary in a straight line

Fun factor has to have been hurtled round 3 sisters circuit as a passenger in a caterham, driven by a pro race driver

Daftest has to be my 330BHP Cossie turbo powered westfield, that was quick, quite challenging in the wet when you were trying.
Childhood dream fullfilled was Ferrari F40, it didnt disapoint.
Best scoob was my STi5 RA Limited, such a great all rounder.
One of the best scoob feel good experiences was taking my mate to his wedding in a 22B TypeUK, real head turner that was.
Most thrown in at the deap end was driving a LHD Impreza RS for the first time ever, it just happened to be on a frozen lake on studded snow tyres on a rally.

Near to where i live is a Ford motorsport garage, they do road car tuning and supply performance parts etc for road cars.

Me and my friend went to them in my friends Catalunya and managed to swindle a test drive in an Escort Cosworth they had for sale, £22,000.
It had been prepared by Ford themselves and had a 2.4 litre turbo charged engine, all wheel drive. My friend drove with a sales guy in the passenger seat and me in the back. All i can say is a standard cosworth seemed like a metro after going in that thing. My mate didnt push it too much but the sales guy told us it was 420bhp+ and could hit 60 in around 4 seconds flat.

Best powerful car I have driven is my other halfs 520bhp RS500 with NOS on top of that - I have full use of the car makes my 370bhp cossie seem slow!

Had about 6 laps passenger ride round Oulton in a 630bhp R34 Skyline - what a car

Lairiest car, was as a passenger in a 450bhp Evo V round Oulton with about 2" of surface water on the track

Also had a fair few laps at Dono in a Reyland Team Esc Cos that had Martin Hadlands old engine in it.

Jase i was lucky enough to be driven round the Boreham airfileld site back in 87-88 by one of the Ford development drivers in one of the the original RS200's, it was being prepared for a upcoming rally, they said it had summin like 500Bhp, and as u say it weighed **** all. To this day i've never driven or been driven in anything that had anything like the grunt that thing had when the turbo came onto song, it was like someone getting hold of your shoulders and pushing u back in the seat as hard as u could handle.....<sighs> oh the memorys of youth!

Not driven or been driven in too many exotic beasts (must be mixing in the wrong circles) but the most memorable must be as a passenger in a Metro 6R4 around Curborough sprint venue. Amazing noise and throttle response. Wouldn't be so hot as a daily drive though.

I work for a lot of car mags so I've been seriously spoilt.

Fastest I've been in: 8 sec 1/4 mile small block drag car - petrifying, felt like the engine was going to bust through the fire wall. I was literally pinned to the seat with the g's as well as feeling horribly disorientated.

Fastest 4 cylinder: RC Developments 930bhp EVO VI - feels like you're strapped to a missile. It's made me give up on my own speed improvements to the Scoob.

Fastest I've driven: Cateraham R500 - came out shaking like I was just in a fight and then thought about remortgaging my house.

Best all rounder: Ferrari CS - did an indicated 200mph on an Autostrade at night and a doddle to drift. Has the most amazing presence, If only I had another 0 at the end of my salary....
