Default Stone chips

I have a Royal Silver MY00 and would like to know how much it would cost to have the front bumper and bonnet re sprayed to get rid of the stone chips. Is this something that many other people have had done? It the job ever as good at the original?

I think between 250-300

Although I got fed up with it, and covered my front end in

http://www.armourfend.com

Which has protected me even since....

Small but good paint shop would be £300-£400 at a guess.

I have read on here scooby clinic and little knocks are goood don't know about prices though.

I've MY99 in silver. Had the bumper, bonnet and roof done recently at scoobyclinic. Was quoted about £550 ish, but then I went and had it colour coded and a bespoke grill made and meshed the area behind the number plate and a cambelt change service and a de-cat down-pipe too. Cost me more than the £550 I can tell you, but worth every penny.

Paint work was more troublesome for the Gaffer than he first thought (i.e. paint reacting badly with what was on the bonnet already) but he persisted and three attempts later had got it to his high standards. Car looks great now. Recommend scoobyclinic to anyone. Great work at great prices.

Cheers.

Max.

I dont think it spoils the look of the car. I have to point it out to most people. ALl you have is a line going accross the bonnet.

Can you see it

Its completely covered my front bumper, side sills, door mirrors, bonnet, and inside the door handles.

I'm just waiting for a call and price back from them.

I had Armourfend put on from new on my RB5 WR Sport which is fairly close to silver - It looked fine, with just the line on the bonnet to show for it.

I would recommend it, however it will be as expensive as the paint job, so if you are looking to do both, it'll be double the outlay.

I wonder if we can negotiate some discount here, I got a 10% discount on materials recently as I was a returning customer, I am sure that if we generate them enough business that we should be able to extend this across the scooby community (lets hope the materials then don't mystically rise in price by 10% too)

I need them to redo some recent work so perhaps I shall follow this up and report back! Gimme a couple of weeks
