When engine cold idle too high can u change this?

Default When engine cold idle too high can u change this?

The idle speed when cold is way to high on my MY00 it's at least 1700 rpm can you change this if so how?

They all do that, something to do with getting the cats warmed up quickly IIRC.

I guess it could be changed as part of a ECU remap, but why worry it soon settles down to more normal levels.

yep mine does the same (MY00) and I've had quite a few ECU in it (AE801, AE802, TEK2.5, Prodrive and Custom TEK)

You can change it (at least until the next ecu reset) with DeltaDash..

I find that after 30 seconds or so, if you gently "tap" the loud pedal, it rises a little then drops to about 1100 rpm. I little less embarrasing at those traffic lights just round the corner lol

Its normal, if you mess with it using deltadash then the hot idle will be low, the ecu deliberatlety raises the idle to compensate for a stone cold engine, "they, and alot of other car makes, all do that sir"
