I may need some help off you good folk to arrive at a final decision....my January 2004 WRX STi type UK now needs some 18" wheels to finish it off....fog lamps, PPP, quickshift, mudflaps, afterburner backbox, shiny gear **** and road angel all now fitted and soon, wheels.
Problem is, which ones?
Need to be gold of course and the choices are...Prodrive OZ, OZ Superleggeras, Speedline Turini's and final choice Prodrive PFF7's (these look nice on the WR1 ) all other choices I've enquired about don't clear the Brembo's.
What do you folks think?, biggest vote will be the one's that go on.

Anybody know cheapest price for 19 super l's. Cant seem to find them too easily!

 

18" super legs dont fit, i'd go for the ff7's

 

I,ve got gold P-FF7,s on my sti they look great.

 

OZ aren't making anymore, but if your lucky enough to find a set out there now, they'll go for £1700 for the silver ones with decent tyres on (Halfrauds had a deal going on them for cheaper, but had none in stock).

I got my Turini's cos you dont see many of them round here (in fact I've only seen one car with them on apart from mine), as oppossed to quite a few SuperL's.

you have exactly the same perdicament as me i have the same car as you with all the same bits on, and i reckon you should go for the ff7s keep it prodrive , they look great , light, and help resale as to non prodrive.Also i have told to steer clear of 19s as these aint so good for the cars handeling?

 

Yes, I've got PF7's too, superb wheel, (wish they did some touch up though!)

Just put some PFF7s on my 02 STi and they look superb. Before I decided on them I compared quite a few 18" wheels and chose the PFF7s because they are the correct offset (many aren't which affects handling), they are one of the lightest (which minimises unsprung weight - improves ride and handling) and because they look larger than other 18" wheels (especially the 9/10 spoke ones available from Subaru).

Unfortunately the PFF7s are expensive from Subaru (£1800 with PZero Neros), although I got mine for around £1300 - £850 for wheels on a SN group buy and £450 for PZero Neros from Michildever Tyres - even cheaper than Mytyres and Black Circle!).

Do the PPf-7's improve the ride? Did you notice a difference? What about tramlining is it as bad as they say?

prodrive oz 10 spoke crystal titanium 18" - no tramlining with supplied pirelli's on mine! also look the dogs......

 

I noticed straight away that the PFF7s improve the ride (I have Prodrive springs, ALK, ARB & droplinks already on). Haven't really had a chance to test the change in handling since I have been running them in carefully and driving alot on the motorway. Certainly no sign of tramlining at all, but then I have only done a few hundred miles on them and all 4 wheels were properly aligned at Powerstation last summer.

I have heard reports of tramlining from these tyres, but not sure if they were on the same wheels and a UK STi. Also their wheel alignment might have been out. Other people on SN have had no problems at all and recommend them.

PZero Neros came top in the last EVO mag tyre test and I believe Mike Wood recommends this tyre and wheel combination for the UK Sti over all others, so that is a good start.
