Hmmm. Saw my first P1 last night. Nice looking car just a shame about the driver!
There I was going to the little ladys for dinner. Approached a roundabout (Finchampstead, just down from California Crossroads if you're reading) and slowed right down as you had limited visibilty to the right (minor road, hedges etc). Indicating correctly, checked to the right, nothing visble. So off I go. I've got about 3/4s of the car onto the roundabout when this P1 appears from the right at, what appears to me, to be over the 40 limit on that road and immediately lays his hand on the horn for about 5 seconds. Very little slowing down either. He obviously thought I should have seen him approaching at that speed through 6' trellis fencing and hedges...
If you're reading mate, take some driving lessons and chill pills! First tip: if you approach a roundabout where you can't see what else is approaching from the left (and you can't at this roundabout unless you have x-ray vision) then slow down and be prepared to stop! Actually, on that road just slow down - there are loads of kids playing there at all times of the day and night.

No matey Ive got the faster version P1 a Silver STI V5 with all the bits. 
I think this fella can't be one of us if he didn't wave etc..
I know when to behave, there are times when trust in your own driving ability isn't going to save you (your roundabout).

You have to give way to traffic coming from the right on roundabouts... if your vision to the right was restricted, as you state, then you should really assume traffic may come from the right at speed and judge your own acceleration and road position accordingly. Ok, the road layout doesn't sound ideal, but you are the guy who will end up losing out on the insurance claim in this situation, whatever you think about the other driver's ability.
How often have you had to take avoiding action because some lemming has pulled onto a roudabout in front of you without even glancing towards you... I suspect that most competent drivers have had to di this on more than one occasion.

I always assume that the worst will happen. That way, when some idiot isn't looking where he/she is going or thinks that THEY should have the bit of road that you are on, you at least have a chance of avoiding them.

I see what you're saying and agree with you. I was doing all that. It was the attitude of the P1 driver that hacked me off. No slowing down just the hand on the horn. At the end of the day you do have to drive with some common sense - I would not come up to a roundabout with the attitude 'those from the left have to give way to me therefore if I plough into the side of them then I'll win the insurance battle'. What if some little old lady had been in my position? You know, the ones that can change all the way up the gearbox to 3rd before they have gone 5 yds? She would have just stopped (well, if she had actually realised he was there...) and the situation could have been worse. You get my point anyway.
