Fitting Rear Strut Brace ??
Hi all,
Ive got a rear sti strut brace turning up for my MY03 wrx (got the front on already)
I was just wondering if there any tips for fitting them, or are they as easy as the front one ?
TIA!!

I don't know about new age, but to fit a rear strut brace on a classic wagon, you have to take off the plastic trim on the strut top, and the actual fitting is the same as front - just undo bolts, and fit the brace, and bolt up again.
On a saloon, isn't it pretty much the same scenario? I'm sure someone will confirm.

It will depend on the actual strut brace, but for the Impreza for 2001 on.
Here's a quick guide.
In back seat area.
Remove rear seats - bottom part first the back piece
Pull backing trim out of the way.
Each side - remove upper seat belt mount to gain more access.
Remove the 3 nuts at the top of the strut top and lify of the thin metal cover.
Fit strut end pieces and put the metal covers back on then the 3 nuts.
Into boot now and fit the brace between the 2 end pieces.
Put everything back.
Quite straight forward when you see it, remember to move the upper seat belt mounts out of the way, as it makes it a lot easier.

Hi everyone, I know this is an old thread but seemed most relevant.
Need a little more help please if anyone has experience of fitting a rear strutbrace to a new age.
I tried fitting a rear strutbrace but gave up after 30 mins of trying every which way round to get the thing lined up. I have the seats off and took off the rear seat belt mounts but still no joy in lining the 3 holes over the bolts and sliding the bracket into the boot space. Is it a case of needing a rubber mallet and some elbow grease? Any tips?
Thanks!
