Default Quickshifts for Sti - UKs

I'm a bit confused.

I've seen a number of threads on here talking about quickshifts for Sti's.

Is there a quickshift available for the Sti Type UK or are they already fitted as standard?

My standard car certainly has less travel on the gear shift than a WRX, for example.

Any comments greatly appreciated as always.

The option catalog lists a quick shift for the 6 speed, ie you can get an even quicker shift for the Uk STi

I know there is one available for the STi but I was just letting korky know that the STi already has one.
BTW the quickshift is a complete waste of money on the STi UK don't bother.

I had a quickshift on my RB5, so my 03 STi without quickshift was increadibly long. Added the quickshift after a month and was happy again!

Aha,
so wrx=slowshift
wrx+quickshift=quickshift
sti=quickshift
sti+quickshift=very quick shift

I would say standard STi is more "Quickershift" than "Quickshift" i.e. fits in-between the standard WRX and WRX+Quickshift!

So order of Shift quickness is...
WRX
STi
WRX+Quickshift
STi+Quickshift

I have WRX 03 fitted with a Prodrive Quickshift and think you can't get a better shift than with a Quickshift fitted!!

No quickshift shifts like a quickshift shift. You try saying it quickly

Gents,

Thanks for the humerous and accurate response.

I shall get onto my dealer and order a 'quickerest' shift without delay!
