Doug,

How much did the pads cost after discount?

All,

How do I go about trying to persuade my garage to offer 10% discount to SIDC members?

Cheers,

Greg

Anyone know which garages (if any) give SIDC discount on servicing?

I really want to know about Days of Chelmsford and ??? of Colchester.

Days of Chelmsford also offer a 10% discount to members. I've recently had my scooby serviced and also ordered DS2000 pads saving me about £50, not bad considering how low the membership fee is.

I'm from Bishop's Stortford but I work in Martlesham Heath, so Osborne's is on the way.

I just mentioned it when they phoned me up to tell me it was ready. I think the SIDC stickers on both sides and the SIDC tax disc holder gave it away, though.

I use Osbournes - by far the most helpful garage I've ever used. Even fitted an MOT in with an hours notice when I realised I was overdue by 4 weeks Ooopppps !

Forgot to ask for 10% off though !

Hi Greg,

My Pads cost £193 + VAT for front and rears (not fitted).

I know you may say thats a lot for pads but the performance is now superb and there quiet and seem less dusty then the norm.

Try contacting Dick Grimes at SIDC HQ he may be able to help your dealer see the error of their ways.

Cheers

Doug

Bloody typical. Had mine serviced about two weeks ago and didn't even think about a discount. ****.
But I'd have to agree, Osbournes in Colchester are top rate. And they throw a good party, too!
