Default Seen a scoob for sale....

a '98 S plate, 92k miles, just had full service with cambelt. nice clean looking motor std 1 owner from new. £7250

going looking 2moz but if its as clean as suggested Id be tempted to buy it, its in a garage so Id have the 3 month warrenty etc and Id be able to trade in my old motor which would suit me better for us.

Spoke to the misses and shes pulling her face at 90k miles shes seen some in the trader like 100+miles away with 60k which she'd prefer. this 1 is 40 mins down the road that Ive seen.

Do you think Im being a little inpatient or should I go on another cross country trek again?

did it last weekend out from 11am til 6pm and saw 1 car which had been written off twice.

go see a few in the same day if you don't mind driving. see the nearest as it's the one that your misses is least keen on first so that you can compare it to one of the ones that is furthest away.

definately see a few in the same day, even if it is just to help you convince the misses.

Not telling you'll pinch the car...lmao, Im near nottingham tbh.

problem is we only have the morning off 2moz so only really have time to have a look at the 1. saw 1 yesterday with 131k miles but walked away, way too many miles for my liking let alone the misses.

Mate,a lot of miles for my liking,i know they can easily do more but think of how much you will be doing, how long you plan to keep it etc,you should be able to get a average miler s Reg for that money, have you looked in the for sale section on here?,usually some good motors and plenty advice, all IMHO of course.all the best,Mac.

cheers for the info mate, looking for 1 as it happens, gone through the 4 sale section, not really much in there unless its green which IMO doesnt do the scoob any favors (no offense to greeny owners )

to me 90k miles aint much on a car anymore, if I was buying a car 10 years ago yes 90k is alot but not in this day and age surely?

I wouldn't let distance put you off - it's worth travelling the extra distance for the right car.

My advice is - DONT RUSH , i waited 3 months to find the car i'm driving (99 turbo with air con) - Searched for hours everyday and couldnt find one with air con + suitable - But when i did and the car was in prime condition 40k on the clock... Full subaru service history etc etc...

Cool

All I can say is the same... take you time... don't rush into 1st one you see... I spent 3 months searching... and eventually found one on my door step really... only 10 mins away... A V-reg (my00)Turbo 2000 awd with 41K on... I looked at a few others over the months, just have a good look round them...... But I looked round mine for a good hour and had mine all checked out... all turned out good so handed over my money...! Glad I waited to find the right one...
