Thumbs up HOW MUCH IS IT WORTH?

Hello all,

Yes...I am finally gonna do it. The Legacy has to go!

Reasons: Insurance is sky, sky high. People tend to follow me home wanting it off me for free (Its where I live). People keep asking me 'How much do you want to sell it for'...then give me crappy offers. Running cost and a change of job better for my blood pressure certainly not better for my pocket.

It is a Legacy 2 litre turbo estate, J-reg with 124,000 miles on the clock.

Mods:

1. Superchip.
2. Green Panel Filter.
3. 16" Impreza (Silver) with Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres.
4. STi Clutch.
5. STi Head Gasket.
6. Boost Gauge.
7. Lamdba Link.
8. Tints all round except rear window (Smoked).
9. Geometry set-up by TSL Motorsport.
10.HKS Iridium Spark Plugs.
11. Koni Dampers
12. Mongoose Full Stainless Steel Exhaust (Decat).
PIAA Headlights and Foglights Bulbs.
13. New MAF Sensor.
14. New Oxygen Sensor.
15. Clifford 600 Cat 1 Full Closure with Intellistart (REMOTE START UP AND A KIND OF TURBO TIMER).
16. Tracker RAC Trackstar Protector.

Oil change less than 3000 miles with genuine Subaru filter and Millers 10W60 Fully Synthetic Oil. Always run on Optimax and Octane booster (Millers). Before that SUL.

I bought it with 94,000 miles on the clock with a full Subaru Service History. I have had it serviced on a regular basis by Ken at RE Performance in Bury, Chy at Penine Subaru in Hebdon Bridge and recently had Oil change and pads done by Peter at Prosport in Stockport.

Car always allowed to warm up and cool down after drives. It may not be as good as an Impreza but I love it and have taken good care of it but it is just costing me too much to Insure and run!!!

The max. Boost is 1.2 bar and it is pretty quick as well as being practical (Estate) and is not so obvious to scumbag criminals as an Impreza.

So how much do you think? Would anyone be intereted in it?

Also, I need a car until I can get some serious capital to buy a house and buy a decent not so old car any ideas? A bit of performance would be good. Not so much need to fix up as I did with the Legacy and 5 door ideally (Wife and kids you see).

By the way does it cost you to advertise on this site or is its free? I will want to put it up for sale soon.

Thanks

Aaquil

Hi mate.

Its free to advertise your car in the general for sale section.

If you want to put it in the Cars for sale section then you will have to become a scoobynet plus member.

Good luck with the sale.

Thank mate... but any ideas on how much it should be sold for? I would rather sell it to someone who would take care of it than someone who would just trash it.

The car is also completely undersealed by Chez Jordas of 'Inkar Valeters' of Rochdale. Professionally done.

I am thinking of the following as a replacement until I can afford a better car:

1. Golf GTI (pre shape change).
2. Nissan Almera GTI.
3. Nissan Primera SRI.
4. Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec.

I need five doors and motorway ability but cheaper insurance and running costs. A bit of performance would be good. What do you guys think? Any other ideas? I have got £4000 (Maximum).

Difficult to recommend anything for £4k nowadays that will keep its value until you're ready ot move up to the 4x4 Octavia

Almera GTi - 3 door only ?
Golf and Focus for £4k ? - very high miles or very so-so

Others
Early Passat (P/R)

Thanks for the suggestion I was thinking of a Primera SRI. What do you think of a P reg with a full Nissan service history fleet car with 103,000 miles for £1,500 or so. Or one with around 70,000 miles at £2700?

Also, whats the score about the value of my Legacy? Is anyone interested?!!!

If I can't get any tips for how much to sell my Legacy for I will prbably put a 'For Sale' sign in the rear window (only one without tints). I don't seem to be getting much help from anyone apart from two guys...is it because its a Legacy and not an Impreza or is it just that nobody knows how much it could be worth?

Anyone please....
