If you where sat in traffic on the way home from the daily grind last night, then I thought i'd share with you my drive home from work...
I'm a lucky bstaaaard....
After doing 40-50k miles per years for the last 16 years, to just about every town and city in the UK, this is still my top road...
I took the scenic route home from a customers site to my all time fav road... Of all the ace roads i've driven " Aberdeen to Inverness via Tomintool, the road to Skye and on up the A890, Welshpool to Cardiff on the A483. None come close for shear intense wall to wall twisty bits and 56 miles of heaven.
No Cams, long flowing bends but mainly narrow twisty betwwen the walls stuff through dips and crests... Lucky enough to live near it I've driven the road many times often being completly knacked at the end with aching legs and arms from trying to hold myself steady in the car... Awsome!
And yesterday just reminded my why a got the scoob. becouse beween the walls yesterday, even though it was throwing it down it just blew me away...
The place to responcibly use a perfomance car, not in 30-40 zones, or in town... and what the Scoobs very good at also...
Anyhow less of my ramblings, I spare a though for you if your stuck in the say the middle of London...
as yesterday I passed 5 cars and a tractor...!
The pics arn't to my normal standard but I was piloting and it was wet! and it wasn't @ 60mph...

Hi Dazza
So I'm not the only driver who does thousands of miles a year and still prefers to take the scenic route rather than motorways etc.
I'm not familiar with the area but it looks idyllic
Guess and even better drive in the spring/summer
Whilst I don't drive our scoobie to work (he does!) and I settle for a more girlie car there are some fabulous country/subaru enticing roads if only you go and try them!

Lucky b*gger !, I took the scenic route home Friday night (as the good ol' M25 was in it's usual static state) & barely managed to get over 40 mph even at 8pm at night
Great pics (I'm green with envy)

Had to take my car for an MOT on monday....
10 mile trip...
left the house...
got on main road...
spent 4 miles in first gear...
got into 3rd a couple of times when not stationary....
over NINETY minutes later arrived!!!
Not jealous at all, honest...

That looks good you lucky sod.
It is quite rare today to find a nice bit of road which you can use all off and where you can see through several bends, so you have a limit point a fair old way away.
I think my last time was down in Devon. Really empty roads nice sets of bends you can see through. I went for it so much my in my week down there that I melted my pads and disks halfway through the week
