Default Afterburner Vortex on 2003 Sti

Has anyone got any pics of the Vortex on their motor? Ive seen a couple of snaps in the member's section but would like some from further away/ different angles.

I am about to purchase one but cannot decide on which angle of exit to go for.

Opinions and/or photos would be great.

Thanks in advance

Dan

angled exit! thanks for that. Have you got any from further away from the car as I can't quite get a full idea of how angled the exit actually is.

cheers again,

anyone else have any snaps or opinions on this exhaust?

You will not be dissapointed. I have had the Afterburner Vortex fitted to my Classic MY00 for some weeks now. The angled exit is not 'extreme' it just shows off this shiney monster well.
The most important thing about the Vortex is the improved gas flow resulting in increased power. The result of fitting the Vortex to my decatted classic was astonishing...especially at 4000/5000 rpm.
On my full decat its loud and deep and when you floor the throttle it sort of 'cracks and rips' through the airwaves...if you know what i mean??

go for the angled exit. it gave me nearly 10% more torque through the mid range.

sti-04!!

get it serviced fit that baby....

do your milage, swap back, get it serviced, fit the Vortex etc etc.

I only do about 8000 per year so all good.

also pray you do not break down and have it towed to your dealer as it could cause an issue!!!

that's the plan anyway!

Hi STI-04,

I have a custom built back box on mine

http://www.stainlessexhausts.com

Just been serviced by Nobles (plus all the body work mods) and they did not say a thing about it. Noticed it was there and commented on the sound of it but no hassles.

Go for it - you could ask them first,

Brian.

C&C a great idea. Cameron and Campbell are great guys.

Please make sure you tell them that you know me (tell them Brian from the Les Mis band was asking for them). They may even give you a discount off their already brilliant prices.

Brian.
