My sale is due to an unforseen house purchase, not to mention I have a wedding to pay for in August and a £3k honeymoon to Cancun!

You must be gutted!

I told my misses the wedding and honeymoon had to be as cheap as possible because I wanted a new car so I got away with a week visiting friends in the lake district

I'm afraid the best your going to find a dealer will offer you is 21k they have depreciated and you can thank Subaru for that

Spec-C
WR1
T25

and the above are why you won't get much for your car as there are more desirable versions available my bro sold his after 9 months 8000 miles on the clock for 21.5k with UK03PPP No. plate that car had the Prodrive Pack and a few extras although mods don't add to the price

Thats the risk you take when purchasing a new car

Talizman - Hmm, I understand the wedding / honeymoon thing all too well as I desperately want a Black STi 8 PPP to replace my 03 WRX ..... still may go for it if I can find one, though!

And I might add you sell that car so soon after purchasing it...

So some good deals to be had off the back of the the T3 / Stuff brigade who have to have the latest gadget....

The Guys going for the WR1 and trading in their PPP'ed MY03 STi's aren't going to get much of a step change in performance I would expect and there are going to be some glum faced guys around who will be scratching their heads and wondering why they parted with so much cash for not much more dash...

Everyday the bland and washed out colour of the car will remind them how getting the latest thing isn't always the best option IMHO

True but he had genuine reasons like a very bad jacking experience that went wrong

I have been watching out on Autotrader and come across loads of 03/53 platers on Autotrader - they seem to sell OK if priced at between £21 and £22K for low mileage 03's and £22 and £23K for a 53 plate.
- PPP adds about 1K to the above.

I calculate that STi's loose about 25% in their first year.
Std WRX a bit better at 20% .......

I would love to know what you lot do for a living!!! buying a PPPd STi8 then selleing it a few months later just because another model comes out!!! I am so glad you can afford to lose all the depreciation money only to buy something more expensive than you already had.

I am in IT aswell and can only just afford to run the 4 year old MY00 I currently have.
