Default Fun Touristy things for an American dude

Hello,

I'll be crossing the pond and visiting England and Scotland in late May up to June 20th. I was looking for something interesting (automotive related) to do while visiting. Unfortunately, it looks like im just gonna miss Goodwood.

I heard about the Scottish Rally, anyone recommend this?
Also, has anyone done ProdriveLive? Is it absurdly expensive?
I'd love to visit the Lotus factory or something, do they do any sort of tours?
Anything else to recommend? (cheaper is much better)

Can't wait to see all the cars I've been missing. I hope you all realize how lucky you are.

- Andrew

The Sunday Times Motor Show Live is on from the 27th of May to the 6th of June at the NEC in Birmingham.

Could be worth a visit!

I agree, the touring cars are excellent, I go to Croft religiously for them, it's a good day all round with loads of different classes racing

Triumph motorcycle factory in Derby
Motor museum at Castle Donnington race circuit
Motorcycle museum near the NEC, Birmingham
Oulton Park, Donnington and Cadwell all do regular events, see what you can find online.
Wymeswold airfield often to driver days, Lotus / Ferrari etc or drive your own. If anybody saw the black guy on the Leaner Drivers prog taking on his instructor in a Ferrari, am pretty sure this is where it was filmed, certainly recognised them passing the pub near Shepshed!
