no, quite reasonable i think, especially considering that's a price per unit (non bulk buy). they are working on their own knock detector at the moment - i believe it will fit in the dash and look very neat. there is a good example of how it will fit on here somewhere. i'll add the link if i can find it.

not sure if this is exactly what Scoobyclinic have in mind, but gives you an idea - this was a pretty neat custom job... nice one Dave

You can buy the Bosch sensor and connector from any Bosch dealer.

I paid around £35 for mine.

Have a look around the posts from last year to find the part numbers. There's a power cut @ home otherwise I'd point you to my website and search still doesn't work for non-members

Ok then lads, let have a 'mini' group buy of our own!

I'm up for having one asap - who is up for going for it - might save a few quid when we approach a seller??

as i still have 1K+ miles of running in to do, i am gonna hang on to see what their new knock detector looks like and costs. you shouldn't have much problem sorting another group buy though.

Fair enough, any ideas of release date for the new one?

SCOOBYD00,

i don't know how long it'll be. the plan is to place the indicators onto a plate (or into a gauge) that will mount into the dash a'la Dave's car (pic above).

where exactly they are with their development and what else is involved i don't know, but can't imagine it'd be much longer than a month or two. maybe if there is enough demand, it could speed up the process.

Kev did mention it to me last night, but didn't mention any lead/delivery timescale. i have to pick my car up at the weekend so will pursure the issue and highlight the demand.
