Does anyong a know how many were made + were they based on the Japanese Domestic Market WRX (i.e. 260 bhp - or what is the specification of the cars).

They made 500 saloon & 100 wagons, built to commerate winning the wrc

There about 280bhp in STi form, few differences to the STi 2, remote oil filter & stuff other bits I can't remember, Oh & they came kitted out in the Repsol/555 WRC livery from the factory..

All the info is for the STi 555 not sure about the WRX version

edit: think there are also a few variants of the sti 555, different engine & tune spec & badges (black, pink), wheels, interior etc

sos so long to reply, Mines the Wrx version- 260 bhp 250-255 on UK fuels with octane booster maybe slightly less coz of the octane rating differences. Im currently awaiting a reply from Japan reference my model run nos ie 560/1000 etc( At some point my plate has been removed/fallen off for whatever reason?). I was led to believe that it was a Limited run of 1000.
since ive had it ive had a scoobyecu fitted to save all the hastles of octane booster+get that extra grunt.
