HAVE TRIED TO GET ON SIDC FAQ BUT CANNOT, I HAVE A 1999 UK TURBO WITH FEW MODS AND WANT TO COMPARE STATS ON BOTH CARS, I KNOW THAT MINE IS OR SHOULD BE 5.4 0-60 BUT WOULD LIKE TO FIND OUT MORE ON MY BROTHERS. CHEERS

 

Basically it is a simular engine to yours except rated at 240bhp I am sure. Differences to yours is that it has a closed deck block, TD05 turbo, different internals to my knowledge, air con, electric mirrors etc (You might have them as extras but his are standard), closer ratio gearbox (Why it feels as if it has more power) and a few other things I cant think off the top of my head.

Anyone please correct me but thats a basic summary. 95 onwards was the 260bhp model.

If its actual power stats you want for both, you could book yourselves in for a run at your nearest rolling road.

Just a straight run to get the graphs isnt expensive and then you'll both know your power and torque and where they peak etc

You can then plan any further mods accordingly.
Give it a go!

Edited to say the SIDC faq lists the spec as 240 for your brothers car unless its a model year 95 manufactured after Sep 94:
Oct.93-Aug.94
MY94 GC8B48D 240 WRX 4 door or

Sep.94-Aug.95
MY95 GC8C48D 260 WRX 4 door

One thing to remember if it has a full decat then it prob has 260bhp anyway!

 

I did'nt think that the uk turbo was that fast(0-60 5.4secs)I thought that the 94 wrx only did it in around 5.5 ?
