Unhappy

Having trouble starting my car (WRX MY01). Owned from new started everytime on the button. The problem started today, Left car in car park to do some shopping when I returned it wouldn't start. Tried waiting 30 secs for imobilizer to cut in blipped alarm pod still nothing (Using factory fitted alarm).
Tried turning key a few more times heard fuel pump prime ok still nothing. Then it suddenly started as if nothing was wrong! . Got back home left it for 30 min started 1st time. Went to put it back in the garage an hour later wouldn't start (my brain is now begining to hurt!!). It then suddenly started again and I left it in the garage. Just about to phone dealer (warranty till June).
Anyone advise or had similar problems.
Cheers,
Mark

I had similar problem recently fould out it was cam sensor problem on cold start. Just a fought.
Shouldn't be cam (or crank) sensor. If it was either of those, the engine should turn over but not fire.

Mark: When you turn the key to the "start" position, do your lights and radio turn off? If they don't, chances are the keyswitch is knackered/worn.

If the lights and other accessories do go off, listen very carefully to what's going on under the bonnet when you try and start the car. If you can hear a smart click when you engage/disengage the starter, chances are the starter motor itself has a dead pole.

If you don't hear anything going on under the bonnet when you engage the starter, chances are it's the solenoid.
