Question

just changed the bulbs in my MY99 headlamps for some silvertec ones.. they give off a much whiter light, but now my sidelights look really crap.. are there any bulbs i could change the standard ones for, to give a whiter light to match the headlights ??

cheers, alex.

Are they the twin LED ones or the new (6 LED?) type? Either way, what's the light dissipation like? Do they spill off to the side like a normal bulb, or can you only really see them from the front?

There are also Philips Vision Plus sidelight bulbs available that give a very blue-white light.

Recently bought some Ozram +50% from Powerbulbs for £19.50 including delivery and got a set of Philips bright white side light bulbs for free. Both make a big difference.

If I wanted to replace my bulbs for both main and side lights... what sizes do I need?

Thanks in advance.

H4 for headlights and W5W for sidelights. That's for MY99/00, so unsure if you have another model.

I should clarify then...

I have a MY95 WRX (imported).

Thanks for your response.

Mines a MY95 Sti2 import, and that has H4 for headlights and W5W for sidelights

Thanks (LL) cool.j

I will have to order me a set of each.

Anybody recommend where to buy them from; I am looking at Powerbulbs.com myself.

powerbulbs are good. That's where I bought mine. Don't think they do the PIAA ones, but they are a bit pricey and I'm not convinced they're worth the extra.

And Powerbulbs are throwing in a free pair of sidelights... worth £9.95, and they have free shipping on all orders.

What about fogs... is it worth changing them (and if so, what is the fitting)?

Thanks to all those who have given me advice.
