I doubt one could pass the other.
I'd reckon if you were in front, you'd stay in front.
(Unless one was a crap driver )

A Std P1 versus STi7/8PPP, I agree with WRX-sti but also depends on the Track and Driver

Two different animals ;( will achieve simular results IMHO

I would have my P1 back before my STI8 PPP, but i would have bigger brakes.

I contemplated both of these but ended up buying a P1, and I love it!

ive had a decatted p1 with 18's and big brakes and a sti 7 ppp, the p1 goes better low down, the sti is better higher up, sti has better brakes on the road, never tracked the sti , both very quick but in slightly different ways

How many standard scoobs are there?

It would be difficult to judge any one against another on paper - it all comes down to the driver, conditions and mods applied

I meant Std P1 or Sti7/8PPP out the box which is a UK is anything else isn't

or then you could start arguing a 420Bhp Sti7/8 versus a P1 ain't fair or a 330Bhp P1 versus a STi7 ain't

Power to weight the P1 had the edge so probably the P1 quicker in a straight line.

Had both too.

Easier to have a little fun in the P1, but the setup of the car was such that it sometimes struggled for grip on the B roads.

STi8 PPP is quicker in a straight line, quicker cross country and far more stable in all road conditions.

I loved my P1, but I don't miss it.

I would not consider a new STi, I love my P1 but if I was going to change to a newer car, it would have a Mitsubishi badge, new Subaru's just do not do it for me, P1 easily the better looker.

True, gotta say the new face of the scoob is mint, the sti looks simply awesome, the classic is starting 2 show its age a bit now, still looks mint though.
