Hi All

Put your name down on this thread to take part in a group buy for Injectors.

I've contacted a couple of suppliers and the best prices are as follows :

Blitz 550cc for phase one and two : £250
Blitz 850cc for phase one and phase two : £280

(93-00 Classic Models only)

All injectors will need a fitting kit from Pavlo at pavlo@cdtech.co.uk
He may be busy though so give hime time to answer
The price is for 4 and includes delivery by Royal Mail Next Day
I could possibly arrange a group buy for "brand new" injectors but the prices are almost double the prices listed above.

We need a minimum of 5 orders to allow the group buy to go ahead.

Cheers

how much is the fitting kit ?

can you over inject a phase one engine ?

my simple brain says get the 850 injectors & that way they wont be working as hard, can someone confirm ?

Barge the 550's are good for over 400bhp.
I would only consider 850's for for anything above that?

Fitting kits are between £30 and £60 from Pavlo depending on your fuel rails m8

Well, that's fine, except I might not have any adaptors. If I had known about this before hand, before I placed an order for some parts on friday, things could have been better.

Also, I would suggest you find a price for the SR20 style injectors, which are phase2 drop in replacements, and still fitable to the phase 1 rails with some adaptors. Seeing as they only need one end sorting that's less money to spend on adaptors.

The other thing is 850s are too big for realistic operation on a 2.0 engine, and for those pushing 500hp 740s are much better.

Okay,

I've been in contact with Scot, and with the numbers involved there isn't a problem with getting stock of adaptors ahead of time (for once I will be ready).

If you're on the group buy, this is what I need to know:

Your name, address, year of car, and what injectors you want to put in it, eg 550s or 850s.

You will need to know the following.

550s into phase 1 rails = £62 inc postage
550s into phase 2 rails = £32 inc postage
850s into phase 1 rails = £62 inc postage
550s into phase 2 rails = £32 inc postage

The adaptor kits allow easy fitting, but you will have to make a subtle mod to the injectors, which is a 30 second job per injector. Phase 1 rails will also need the small rubber bung in the retainer cap cutting in half with a sharp knife (tip thanks to Pat).

I would like to get an idea of numbers of each config before I send out any parts, as there is a myriad of options for me getting stuff made.

For anyone that is waiting for an adaptor kit from me, I should be posting ALL remaining kits tomorrow (woo bloody hoo!).

Cheers

Paul

hmmmm Pavlo would 850cc injectors be fine for a 2.33/2.5 engine pushing on the door of 500bhp maybe even 500bhp+.

850s do seem to be okay on a 2.33 and larger. They do work on a 2.0 but the idle quality is reduced, and 740s seem fine. Partly because the 740s use a different injector technology and seem to have better atomisation.

Franko,

You should have phase one rails and 440's?

440's start to max out at just over 300bhp, but can be pushed a bit further if you up the fuel pressure with an uprated pump and FPR.
550's are are better option at this point as they can easily cope with more if/when you decide you want more power

TD05/06 owners apply hear!!
