Question

Hey Mike,

How are you guys doing with the PPP for the new MY01 WRX. I cant get a word out of anyone about it! How long before it will be available (just a rough guestimate so i can stop hassling my Dealer!) and can you give any info on what it consists of / does?

Im dying to get it done!!!!

Thanks

James

James

We are still working on it. Results so far are impressive with similar increases to 99/00MY ie 20% more torque and 10% more power. Parts content will be similar.

I can't give an accurate delivery date at the moment, only that it will be available within the next 3 months.

Mike

Cheers Mike!

Your a star. Will there be a new brochure available before that? Having read about the relatively restrictive exhaust on the WRX i am keen to change to full Prodrive system - will they be sold seperately or only as part of the PPP? Id rather get a system than the WR Sport BB. If so will that be available before the PPP.

Sorry to treat you like a salesman - but im finding it difficult to get any info!!!

Pete was referring to the rear silencer being restrictive as the std pipe size is reduced into the silencer. Fitting the WRSport silencer makes a very noticeable difference to performance, but not as much as the complete performance package will do!

We will be changing other parts of the exhaust for the performance package but these will probably not be available separately.

Well I'll be able to comment soon on the WRSport BB, as I'm getting one fitted next week. Though a little unsure from looking at it, if the ITG filter from the previous car, will fit my new WRX. Can anyone comment on this?

The ITG fits Mike. Airbox dimensions are the same.

Thanks Pete,

No need to reply to the Email to ScoobySport now. Still slightly concerned re the ITG though. As I've pulled the existing one out and it appears to have a metal surround that makes it a lot deeper than the ITG, this appears to sit on a rim about an inch and a half into the box. While the ITG relies on staying in place purely by sitting on the top lip of the box. Definately not as tight / sound a fit as in the old car (unless my memory is going!). Will have another look when I'm back home next week end.
