TEK2 vs SAVC-R help!!!

Hi all
I’m thinking of getting more power for my 02WRX, I’ve narrowed it down to a TEK2 or Apexi SAVC-R.
So I need some help deciding (that’s where you lot come in
),
I was trying to figure out the pros & cons for each and came up with:
TEK2
Pros
service friendly (sort of )
mapped by pros (i.e. I can’t do any damage
)
quick & easy
Cons
Seems expensive (yes I have read what they do, and it still seems expensive to me)
Not portable (I won’t be keeping the car more than 18Months)
What happens if it gets found by a dealer and they re-flash it? (ok not likely)
At the moment my car just has a de-resonator and back box, will the ECU (TEK2) allow it to learn if I get a full de-cat? – I guess it won’t up the boost or anything will it?

Pros
Cheap (and I can fit it)
Allows me to fiddle (I like fiddling – oh errr)
Quite a lot of info around on the web
Cons
I need to do some more homework
Warranty busting (unless it’s easy to remove)
I could wreck my engine
I guess I’d need a knock link (although the SAFC has a knock function)
I don’t think I would need an SAFC to prevent leaning/cutting problems as I’m not really after mega power – something like 260-280 (would the ECU be able to correct for this)
If I need the SAV-R + SAFR (and it probably would need at least some rolling road time) the cost is getting into realms of the TEK2 (group buy).
I guess the smart thing to do would be TEK it, but the SAVC-R is soooo tempting

Dont mess with the silly toys, go for the Tek upgrade. You'd be mad to fit and setup a SAFC without rolling road diagnostics etc.
And it is portable, you can get hold of a spare OE UCE and have that mapped, then take it out before you sel the car, and still make some money on it. Flashing lights and dials are tempting, but the TEK is far more effective.
