Vehicle performance prediction software

We're going to prepare a historic racer (not single-seater) and want to know if there is any reasonable performance prediction software to evaluate gear ratios etc.,
Is there any other software to assist with suspension setup etc.,
I already have Car Test (dos) but this makes a few too many assumptions for my liking.
