Question

Anyone know if the K&N cone type (57i) is available for a MY99 yet?

I heard that it wasn't available yet...I went for the piper-cross instead...and I'm happy with it.

Cheers

Ian

(used to have 57i kit on old MY97 turbo - it was good - but I think the pipercross is marginally better)

Have been speaking to the tech dept at KN for months about the MY99 kit after i got a kit from a supplier which said it was for a My97-99 but would not fit. It turned out that the kit would not fit a MY99 and that the new one was under development.

K&N keep promising a relase date but say that they are waiting for ok to release the kit from the USA. (reading between the lines i think they are waiting for parts)

Finally decide to go for the PX kit a couple of weeks ago (on Gary C Remondation .

K&N promised to email when it is released and i still havnt heard a definate date as yet. If they let me when it is released (if they have not released it yet) i will post it on the board.

Question

PX, is that a cone type or an element (ie old airbox) type?

Where can you get em from?

Pipercross kit is a cone-style induction kit. You remove the airbox completely.

You can get them from RoadRunner in nottingham.

Got my PX induction Kit from Demon Tweeks - £72.

PX also make a panel filter which still had better flow/performance gains than a K&N Induction kit. (Source TAS)
