Any suggestions on which colour/type of rims would look best on 2.0 turbo in mica red (classic), registered 2001. Any suggestions appreciated

Personally I dont like gold wheels on any colour car. How about anthracite Technomagnesio Detroit F1 18"?

Are there any problems putting 18" rims on a standard turbo?

You mean apart from the fact that 17" will probably give you a better combination of ride, handling and feedback?

When you say it's a "standard Turbo", do you mean it's a classic shape (GC8)? If so, the biggest issue is making sure you get the right offset and tyre width to avoid rubbing the arches.

It is late 2001, but 2000 model, which I think is known as classic.

Could try Bronze with DMR, though anthracite's definitely favourite.

What about style of rim? 5 spokes or more? 10 spokes or more?

Vindaloo.
