Anyone know the best way to remove tree sap? I parked my motor under a tree at work and now the roof is covered in bubbles of tree sap .

Thanks in advance

Tony

Cool

this happened a few weeks ago to me too. There is a solution I got from the dealer which is used to clean windows etc - this swept it away. then hit the area with a bit of polish and wax and looked
like new.

I will find what it is tonight if I remember..

I took my Escort Cossie to centre parcs a few years ago and parked under trees for a week

When I got home I used a good quality car shampoo and put LOADS in and used hot water with sponge, came off no problem

This happens to me all the time, comes off pretty easily if you wash your car on the same day, just wash it as you normally would.

We live down a tree-lined avenue. My car is usually coated in the stuff, but its not directly under like my dad's - his has a totally matt coating over the whole car.

Usually comes off ok with warm water and car shampoo - but if its baked on due to heat and gone black it wont even shift with tar remover!!!

...and polish after you've got it cleaned - it'll help it not to stick in the future

Warm water and wax wizard shampoo is all I use

Just hoy water and a little soap does the trick...

jet washes tend to work ok so long as they are hot

I agree - quite hot soapy water and a pressure washer works wonders in dissolving / blasting off the worst of it!
