.... a nice "Light Blue" nozzle cover to fill up with - no less Worth the extra cost - no doubt!!!!

Took me about 5 mins to find the pump though

So got the BP Ultimate this lunch due to lack of Shell garages in North Notts

So far ive noticed:

Car started as normal
Still has 5 gears that work
You go quicker when you push the throttle down rather than pressing the brake - which still slows you down
Still 4 tyres and steering wheel
Still sounds like my car

Was it worth the extra 5p/litre over Optimax ?

..only time will tell

My local Shell garage charges 82.9p/litre for Optimax. Thought that was bad enuff. Plus side is it is less than a mile from home.

I ran a full tank yesterday, and couldnt wait to put real fuel in

Complete pile of cr@p in my opinion, far far worse than SUL or Optimax

My AFR readings were 2 notches leaner, and knock link lit up like an xmas tree, car is back to normal with Optimax in it now

Only ever get first green on Optimax.

I found it's a good way to check that your knocklink is working, never seen so many lights before, and with Millers in. Back to Optimax then

Picked up a tank of the Blue label stuff for 79.9 ppl at lunchtime in Newport at lunchtime. Price differences across the country seem unjustified.

Wink

Never missed a beat, is that because it was so slow?

Strangely enough I took it to the dealer for a service at about 82,500 miles and the mechanic took it out for a road test and said it was one of the best engines he'd found at that mileage, he said it pulled really strongly and also said that there was quite a variation among Imprezas and some were nowhere near as quick. It was completely standard though, I appreciate the highly tuned ones need a few more octanes.

I got a "4p off petrol" voucher at Sainsburys yesterday, which means I'll be paying 68.7p a litre for my next fill up!
