Yeah I have one for home use. With the latest firmware they are very good.

ADSL Guide has a review at..http://www.adslguide.org/hardware/reviews/2003/q2/netgear-dg824m.asp
Being a Cisco certified engineer and working in comms support I have used wirless kit and routers that cost many time more than the Netgear, but for home use the Netgear is very good.
If you want to spent money for the hell of it sure you can do better but for the money it gets my vote.
They use a PCMCIA card internaly for the Wireless connection so it could be possible to change this for a 802.11A, 802.11G of a combined card for greater range-speed.
I personally would like to see more config options (used to cisco a command line interface) but the netgear GUI is idea of the intended market.
The cheapest place I found one was www.simply.co.uk @ £108.94 (£128 inc VAT)
The only other option in my oppinion for home use is Linksys. These are ok but could be and should improve now that they are owned by Cisco.
Their is also 3Com and D-Link but I have never linked these and the D-Link GUI is crap.

Just bought the package bundled with the ME101 for £160, pretty good deal I reckon.
Thanks for the advice re the firmware.
