Well after 2mins of using Search, I stumbled blindly across this

http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/threa...hreadID=188004

Suggests that only one wire to pin1 is required (doesn't matter which one), but someone then says you need both. I've never heard that only one is needed, but maybe Bob Rawle will set you straight.

well, it does and it doesn't.

it doesn't matter which wire goes to which pin. Brown/black can go to pin 1 and black pin 2 or the other way around.

The question is whether it'll work with one pin or not. I've never heard of anyone not using both pins - I certainly used both pins when I fitted mine.

You can buy an extra pin from Vehicle Wiring Products. There part# is "5962 - female terminal" and cost buttons (24p to be exact).

More info here

Bob would tell you for sure if one cables sufficient and I'd put money on it being pin #1 and any colour if it does.

Question

I'm not being silly but have you checked inside the rubber sleeve ?

When mine arrived one had lodged itself half way up inside.

Just a thought.

Nathan..
