Cool

I had my 7,500 mile service today, and it turns out that my local garage is having an "open week" from today. This means the usual bits of cheese on sticks, orange juice, coffee - oh, and a nice "standard" P1. I have also been told that tomorrow (Saturday) there will be a Prodrive (more)modified P1, including 18" wheels - how on Earth do they get those under the arches?

Don't drool too much!

Sound like a good excuse for a journey to Balsall Common tomorrow.

Must admit to being rather teed off at this thread. If there are so many P1's available for :- testing, courtesy cars, demonstrators etc. where the hell is mine? Finding the situation a bit ridiculous!!!

Well, just got back from my blast in the P1. What can I say that hasn't been said.

The Main diff's I found were the extra grunt from the engine and being able to go past 7,000 r.p.m quite effortlessly was amazing.

The stiffness of the car is evident and it goes amazingly well round corners.

The brakes are also excellent.

The dealer had considerately put in a radar detector as well.

The people who have taken delivery or are waiting for them are VERY lucky people.

Phil - Enjoy when you take delivery.

robman,

the car service was a "collect and return" from the office, but the delivery driver mentioned the open day, so i found an excuse to pop in! I ended up buying a Disklok (been meaning to for ages) at around 15:30, and had a quick (ok, slow) peak at the P1. The thing that most stood out (apart from the wheels) was the, i think, carbon-fibre strip on the trailing edge of the spoiler.

Oh, and i like the fact that it is a two door n'all (better rigidity).

Anyone see the (more)modified version?

mb

p.s. What kinda boot-mat was it - 4 or 5 door?

5 door mat, although the fit isn't perfect IMHO. Does the trick for 1 month old's pram though and mtn bike wheels.

just been to my dealer and on the way saw the lucky owner of the P1 i mentioned above who had just collected it

I was (no make that i am !) jealous it looked gr8 in the sunshine with that paint.

my dealer has another one in the showroom as well ready to go out soon.

he said every dealer was getting two and then they should start becoming more easily available to dealers once the initial 2 per dealer has happened ?

not sure if this is true or when its likely to happen but.........

still as least you lucky guys are getting one soon !
