Is that good?
I reckon it is, as I usually get around the bad side of 250 miles. The 300 miles was a lot of motorway driving, and when not stuck in jams I wasn't going over a tun too much.
So it's a 98 wagon (turbo) - what's the capacity in gallons? I reckon I must be knocking on 30mpg????

Yep, that's normal. I regularly got 320 miles from the MY00... Brim it with optimax, run down to Milton Keynes (motorway all way, normal British cruising speeds
) and run back on a tank...
The 03 appears even better on the m'way mileage.
If anyone gets less than 30 on a motorway run out of an 03 WRX, I would not want to be in the car with them!
The STI is notably worse. Even running in it only managed 26 mpg on the motorway...

I usually get 210 - 230 miles out of a tank and a normal fill-up is about 40 - 45 litres. Equates to about 21 - 23mpg (?). That was when I was doing a lot of motorway work, now it's mainly local stuff and I know get about 180 miles to a tank
i thought it was clicking becuase it was filled right upto the filler neck? lol
one of the 1st things i ever did to my car was to remove that daft SVA filler neck restriction thingy
i could never get any fuel in without the pump shutting off :s

Fill up, reset trip counter, run around, fill up agia n and look at trip.
You know how many miles you have covered and you know how much fuel you have used easy calculation for mpg. (4.54 litres to gallon)

I always tend to get around 230 miles, with about 8-10 litres left. This equates to 20-21 mpg.......
360 miles out of a Scooby with a 60 litre tank, you'd have to average around 31-32 mpg?????? (assuming you used 52 litres approx)
Is this possible in a Scooby??
If you run car till lights constantly on, this should leave around 10 litres approx, so if you done the following distances, the mpg you would get are as follows.
200 miles - 18 mpg
240 miles - 22 mpg
260 miles - 24 mpg
300 miles - 27 mpg
340 miles - 31 mpg
If you get more than 22-24 mpg, you may as well change your car, cos these cars weren't designed to get that kinda fuel consumption!
