what is the expected torque on a 2000 Classic turbo with PPP?

any ideas?

 

c.275ft/lb I would have thought

2000 Classic standard - 214 lbft@4000 rpm

with PPP - 240ish

add a catless exhaust - 260 - 270lbft

ps. the last classic i.e. the 215bhp one

 

Subaru figures were :

237 bhp @ 6000rpm
258 lb/ft @ 3500rpm

 

My 96 with ppp did 245 Bhp on RR , alan.

 

Yup your looking at 240bhp and 260lb/ft of torque ...give or take a few of each.......ScoobySnack the figures youve quoted are for the phase one engine, ie pre 99.

I agree that the information says that it is 260ish, but I just don't beleive in my opinion that the PPP gives 240lb/ft of torque in reality....

Also checked the dyno pages and their are a few MY00 PPP's that support this.


Now add an exhaust mod and I would agree

People put too much faith on RR figures and if they are so accurate how come they are so subjective to weather conditions, operator techinque, air flow, computer software and even tyre pressures. Treat RR figure for what they are an indication on how well your car is running and power curves. Just dotn worry abou the number scales. I could go to 5 different RR and I would get 5 different results, most would pick the highest .

Edited to say : RR days are good fun though and great for pub talk and useful to pick up potential problems (low boost, overboost, fueling, detting etc)

Trick only went to one RR (thats all I could afford ) LOL , But it was a cold day and car was running great, hope this is some help to YOU , cheers Alan.
