Ive only been a member for a month or two and already ive spent a fortune.

£500 wheels & tyres (cheers phil)

New tyres for above wheels £340

Afterburners £200

Clear Front Indicators £70

TOTAL: £1110

The scary thing is i could quite easily spend another £1000

Thumbs up

It's saved me loads of money.

Well over £600 in tyre deals i've found on here.
£2-300 per year insurance premiums.

In terms of mods it has'nt actually cost me anything that I would'nt have done already (PPP and AP 6 pots being the most expensive) but what it did do is convince me that I was doing the right thing.

Going out with people as a passenger on trackdays is more expensive as you get too see and feel what the next mod will bring you, then of course you just have to have it!!

Bugeyed PPP is £1600 incl Fitting and VAT

Have the Springs and Geometrey sorted at TSL for £300 odd

And the car will be a different beast

Lets see, some parts bought second hand from here, others brand new but from memory

On my old MY96.............

(1)Full decat for
(2)Leather Buckets
(3)Clear repeaters

On my current MY01.............

(1)Rallytech Spoiler
(2)Prodrive Lights
(3)Full Decat
(4)3 X Defis
(5)Momo Gearknob
(5)Gear leaver surround
(6)18" Prodrives OZ
(7)Clear indicators - (actually got these thrown in free when bought the car from dealer
(8)Prodrive quick shift
(9)Eibachs

I probably would have done some of the above in any event but Scoobynet helped research the best parts, best prices and obviously find some second hand bits and pieces.

I'm too scared to think how much I've spent in total but I enjoy every minute of it so why not

Chris

Wouldnt have spent anything if it hadnt been for SN - wasn't really aware the standard wrx (my93) were crap, didnt need the apexi thing, didnt know about knocklinks or turbo timers and thought the suspension was ok.

Oh well cant take it with ya can ya!

Scoobynet is partly responsible for my unhealthy modifying addiction

over three years I probably spent around 6k, excluding consumables. Sad? yeah, probably, but I enjoyed it, and that is the main thing!

Wink

Scoobynet is a curse and a blessing. I have receipts for approx £4k worth of mods - all of these I researched on SN to ensure they were the best products available - most of these I would never have realised existed were it not for SN.

There is no better source of information, and finding it all out makes you spend the money. But Scooby96 is right-enjoy it while you can.
